One of the on-campus dining facilities is Suzu Café. It's a place that's right by the dorms I'm at and is very affordable. I've gotten a cappuccino there before for 250円 (one could make a bit better at home) but this is my first time getting food. I got their daily donburi, which had natto (fermented soy beans), okra (probably blanched), seaweed, a poached egg, yamaimo (mountain yam), and tororo (minced tuna). I'm okay with the consistency of natto, yamaimo, okra so I enjoyed this dish but I could imagine some people being incredibly turned off. It's a simple homely meal but not bad for ~$6.50.
