I originally had planned on going to a different restaurant but they must've updated their hours because it was closed when I expected it to open. Since I didn't want to wait, I decided to revisit Ichimura and try their motsu nikomi teishoku.
Honestly, the motsu or offal in this dish was a bit overcooked for my taste since it was very soft. Typically, a bit of a bite would be really nice but I do understand this is a preference (as one of my *cough* judgemental *cough* Australian colleagues told me). However, the taste of it was nice. It wasn't very bold but clean tasting with a bit of savoriness from the cooking liquid offset by the mountain of scallions. For me, the addition of a bit of chili oil and shichimi helped add a bit of complexity without affecting the composition too much. Considering this is basically a shokudo, I'm quite pleased by this flexibility actually.
I do think the ramen was a bit more enjoyable since the ramen broth had a bit more depth but overall, still enjoyable. For 770円、definitely worth if you like motsu.
